The Chroma House

A full-scale experiment in color, emotion, and lived-in design

The Chroma House is not a concept, a showroom, or a trend exercise.
It is a fully lived-in home designed as a total immersion into color, mood, and intention.

Every room was envisioned as its own emotional universe, designed to be felt, not just seen.

This project represents Josh’s philosophy of bold decisions and a cohesive vision at full scale.

The vision

The Chroma House was built around the concept of color as architecture.

Each room was designed as a complete environment, with a specific color acting as an anchor. Lighting, texture, and form work together to create a specific emotional response.

We see these rooms as immersive worlds that invite creativity, rest, intimacy, focus, or play, depending on where you are in the house.

Bathrooms

We spend a significant amount of time every day in our bathrooms. We made them into ritual spaces that were designed to feel indulgent and playful in addition to functional.

Work spaces

We each wanted private space to work and create. These rooms are intended to promote focus and imagination for each of us.

Bedroom

Color as intimacy. Light as atmosphere.

Living spaces

Saturated color, sculptural furniture, and low, warm lighting create spaces designed for conversation, presence, and sensory comfort.

A permanent installation

The Chroma House is not available for sale or rent, and likely never will be.

It exists as a complete, permanent expression of Josh’s design vision at full scale.

This project serves as a reference point for what’s possible when cohesion, courage, and clarity lead the process.
